Based in Columbus, Ohio, I've been capturing authentic wedding moments throughout Central Ohio since 2012. My husband and I are proud second-time parents to two curious, fun-loving girls and one rambunctious puppy. Life in our home is joyful, loud, and full of laughter—and parenting has been the wildest, most beautiful adventure we’ve ever known. Our little family loves being outdoors, whether it’s taking a peaceful stroll through our neighborhood before a summer storm or exploring the trails of our local metro parks.

My love for storytelling started early. As a child, I was captivated by the worlds of Reading Rainbow, where stories transported me to places far beyond my imagination. That early passion grew into a lifelong love of narrative—first through books, then writing, and now through the lens of my camera. While wedding photography is my heart, I also direct and film short stories that have been featured on the big screen at Columbus venues like Gateway Film Center's 48-Hour Film Festival and Studio 35's 3 Weeks of Terror. There’s nothing like the thrill of watching your vision come to life—and hearing the audience react in real time.

 

And if you're wondering where the name Melchy comes from—it's a blend of my parents’ names and, as it turns out, a biblical reference too. In Genesis 14:18, Melchizedek is known as the "King of Righteousness." Since I’m a girl, I like to think of myself as the Queen of storytelling. 😉
